15th - 17th December 2010 - ISPS Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) Training Course

KASI (Malaysia) has successfully organized a three-day Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) training course on 15 - 17 December 2010 at the Labuan Federal Territory Syariah Court.

The aim of the training course was to:

• Ensure all ISPS codes requirements are fulfilled;
• Highlight the responsibilities and actions that should be taken by the safety departments/agencies;
• Ensure the safety of ship, ports and port facilities by the safety departments/agencies

35 participants consisting of representatives from the Labuan Federal Territory Marine Department as well as several invited representatives attended this training course. The training coursewas facilitated by Mr. Siva Nair @ Abdul Rahman, and assisted by trainer, Mr. BalaDevan.
