13th - 14th December 2010 - Riverine Traffic Code Training Course

KASI (Malaysia) has successfully organized a two-day Riverine Traffic Code training course on 13 - 14 December 2010 at the Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB) office in Sibu, Sarawak.

The aim of the training course was to:

• Strengthen initiatives to educate river users;
• Strengthen enforcement of existing and new regulations;
• Adopt preventive measures to reduce accidents

26 participants who are mainly from the Sarawak Rivers Board (SRB) attended the training course. Captain Walter J. Nair, Managing Director of KASI (Malaysia), as the speaker, facilitated the training course.
