Safety of navigation is a fundamental concern for any new port development and KASI offers studies to assist in the design of approach channels, jetties and other marine structures.
Safeguarding the Environment
An assessment of navigational impact forms a key component of the EIA process, which has become mandatory for many types of developments. The Marine Impact Analysis (MIA) builds on an MTRA to consider the wider environmental impacts of a development and to recommend measures to mitigate those impacts.
